Kajaria Ceramics is the largest manufacturer of ceramic / vitrified tiles in India. Their manufacturing units are equipped with cutting edge modern technology – intense automation, robotic car application and a zero chance for human error. That’s how Kajaria is a leader in the industry. It has an annual aggregate capacity of 93.10 mn. sq. meters, distributed across nine plants.
CUSTOMER PROBLEM:
They were facing a major power quality problem in the kiln of their largest plant located at Bhiwadi (Rajasthan). The gas valve of this kiln used to turn off whenever there was a power fluctuation in their 132KV Grid, leading to a sag in their 415V power supply to the kiln.
Neither Servo voltage stabilizer nor the OLTC technology could resolve this problem and the customer was left with no other alternative but to rely on a UPS.
The requirement was not for a power back-up, but they had to look at this extremely expensive alternative because they had no accurate solution that solved the exact power problem.
THE TSi SOLUTION:
This was till our technical experts inspected and provided them a permanent cost-effective solution with our Static Voltage Stabilizer. As we had expected, they took a trial of the TSi-VRP at their plant and it was highly successful in controlling kiln stoppages. TSi VRP turned out to be the most cost-effective solution for their power problem, at a fraction of the cost of their previous UPS solution. And it proved to be a fit-and-forget solution.
