ABOUT THE CUSTOMER:
Ashok Leyland is a leading Indian multinational automotive manufacturer – they are the second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, the fourth largest manufacturer of buses and 10th largest manufacturer of trucks in the world. Their diverse product portfolio includes Trucks, Buses, Defence Vehicles, Light Commercial Vehicles, Agricultural Engines, Diesel Generators, Industrial Engines, Marine Engines, Gas Genset etc. and it all started in 1948 at their plant in Ennore, Tamil Nadu, India – their ‘mother plant’.
CUSTOMER PROBLEM:
They were facing major power related issues at their ‘mother plant’ in Ennore – unwanted tripping of their CNC machines, failure of electronic controllers and drives due to sudden voltage fluctuations & sags.
THE TSi SOLUTION:
Towards the end of August 2021, an expert team from TSi Power, India visited Ashok Leyland’s mother plant. After multiple rounds of discussions and identifying the core power problems, they decided to take a trial of TSi VRP on their Landis Cam Grinding Machine in March 2022 and the results were, as we anticipated, positive.
OUR JOURNEY TOGETHER:
By September 2022, Ashok Leyland suggested shifting this trial unit and observing its performance with their Makino A99 machine. By January 2023, we were powering their Cylinder Head and Block MAKINO A99 Machines as well. By March 2023, they bought 7 more units of TSi-VRP for powering their Cam shift Landis machines, Cylinder Head MAKINO HMCs and Cylinder Block MAKINO HMCs.
Proudly powering mission-critical machines at Ashok Leyland’s plant, since 2022.
