Towards the end of August 2021, the team of experts from TSi Power-India visited Ashok Leyland Limited’s Ennore, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) plant and upon discussions found that they were facing major issues pertaining to tripping of the CNC machines, failure of electronic controllers and drives due to sudden voltage fluctuations & sags.
Just after the plant visit, in September 2021, TSi Power conducted a comprehensive webinar for Ashok Leyland’s team and proposed a suitable solution to all their power related issues. The solution was powering their sensitive electronic CNC machines with TSi’s cutting-edge Static Voltage Regulation Technology.
TSi’s IGBT-based Static Voltage Regulator with Precision (VRP) provides real time protection from sudden voltage fluctuations, sags, swells & transients and thus prevents the connected mission critical load/machines from getting damaged.
After multiple rounds of discussions, in March 2022, one Three Phase 75KVA 26% TSi-VRP was put on trial for powering 1no. of Landis Cam Grinding machine. Upon seeing positive results with TSi-VRP, in September 2022, Ashok Leyland suggested shifting this trial unit and observing it’s performance with their Makino A99 machine.
As expected, TSi-VRP performed exceedingly well and thus, in January 2023, Ashok Leyland placed an order of 4nos. of Three Phase 75KVA 26% TSi-VRP for powering their Cylinder Head and Block MAKINO A99 Machines.
Interestingly, in March 2023, they bought 7nos. more Three Phase 75KVA 26% TSi-VRP for powering their Cam shift Landis machines, Cylinder Head MAKINO HMCs and Cylinder Block MAKINO HMCs.
Basically, in just a span of 3 months, Ashok Leyland has already purchased 11nos. of TSi’s IGBT-based Static Voltage Regulators with Precision (VRP).
